This is a follow-on course in digital photography that is relevant to professional photography, with an emphasis on using Photoshop and printing to produce a folio of work. Use non-destructive techniques in Photoshop to improve and manipulate your images. Learn to produce high quality inkjet and digital C-type prints from your images. This course is folio-based and you will be pushed to produce a body of work in your chosen area or interest.

- Perspective and lens correction in Photoshop
- Editing with RAW files
- Digital printing using specialist inkjet papers, inkjet and online printers
- Colour management, colour spaces and printer profiles
- Producing a themed folio of images to showcase your speciality.

- Correct Perspective and lens errors in Photoshop
- Shoot and work with RAW files
- Have a practical knowledge of printing using specialist inkjet papers and online printers
- Have a folio of images on a subject of your choice.
It is expected that most students will have completed 'Digital photography with Photoshop for beginners’ (eg. course VY721) or equivalent course. You need to have good basic Photoshop skills to join this class.
You should be able to follow simple written and verbal instructions, demonstrations, hand-outs and health and safety information, and will be invited to take part in group discussion. You should be able to use numbers and be able to do simple measurements and calculations.
Please look at the rest of the course outline carefully to decide if you may benefit from support in your English and Maths skills to help you to take part fully in this class.
You will be taught through structured talks and lectures, demonstrations and practical work. Each student will have their own computer workstation which is used for practical work, and access to good quality scanners and printers. All work is done at your own pace and follows an easily understood structure.

You will receive regular feedback from your tutor throughout the course, as and when appropriate. At the end of the course you and your tutor are asked to assess the progress you have made.
