Term 1
Use a digital camrea, explore focus and framing, transferring images to a computer. Learn how to change images in Adobe Photoshop.
Term 2
Use the computer and digital camera to build a collage of images. Learn how to use the computer independently, from opening programmes to saving and printing work.
Term 3
Plan a personal photography project, choose how to adapt and present your images.
Use a digital camera, transfer images to the computer, start up the computer and log in, create work in Adobe Photoshop using a range of tools, save and print your work.
You will negotiate with the tutor more specific outcomes, based on the above, to suit your ability and experience.
This course is suitable for beginners or anyone wanting to develop new skills in IT and who has a learning difficulty. You need to be able to participate in shared activities with less support and sustain concentration for short periods, and show interest in the subject.

Yes. Before you can enrol on this course, you need to have an advisory interview with the relevant department. Without this the enrolment team will be unable to process your enrolment. Please contact the department to arrange your interview, or to find out about drop-in sessions.
You will receive regular feedback from your tutor throughout the course, as and when appropriate. At the end of the course you and your tutor are asked to assess the progress you have made. Feedback from the tutor. Self assessment, supported by the tutor. Termly tutor reports. We will assess individual planned learning outcomes, and your personal goals, on Statements of Learning throughout the course.
