Learn about a healthy life style including diet, how to look after yourself and understanding how the body works. We will use relaxation, discussion, reading, writing and computers to learn about how to look after our health and feel well.

This course is especially suitable if you are developing your reading skills and writing skills. You will negotiate with the tutor more specific outcomes, based on the above, to suit your ability and experience.
The course is for students with learning difficulties and with mixed ability in the subject. You need to able to listen and respond to familiar people and demonstrate an understanding of simple questions about familiar events, experiences and personal details. You need to be able to show an interest in the subject.

Yes. Before you can enrol on this course, you need to have an advisory interview with the relevant department. Without this the enrolment team will be unable to process your enrolment. Please contact the department to arrange your interview, or to find out about drop-in sessions.
You will receive regular feedback from your tutor throughout the course, as and when appropriate. At the end of the course you and your tutor are asked to assess the progress you have made. Feedback from the tutor. Self assessment, supported by the tutor. Termly tutor reports. We will assess individual planned learning outcomes, and your personal goals, on Statements of Learning throughout the course.
Please complete the evaluation form at the end of your course. These are monitored and help us to continually improve our courses. Student feedback is encouraged throughout the course. All students have a personal tutor to whom they can give feedback about their courses. There will be an opportunity to evaluate your course at the end.
