When
Anna Ziman joined the ‘Certificate in counselling skills’ course at City Lit she was looking for something new. “I always had an ability to talk to many different types of people with ease, and I wanted to use these existing skills as well as developing new ones. I was quite unprepared for the powerful effect the course would have on me, and how much I would love it.”
“I continued on to the more advanced diploma course at City Lit, for the superb quality of teaching and support from the tutors, and the healing, nurturing environment they provide. I have now set up my own private counselling practice, run ‘Open to the Goddess’ workshops and will soon begin as a counsellor at HMP The Mount.”
“The course also supported me through my diagnosis and treatment of cancer. The diploma was a journey into truth and the deepest parts of myself, and the cancer demanded a journey into the truth of life itself. That the two came together was for me an extraordinary challenge, but also an opportunity for healing on all levels; I feel I owe my life literally to the superb support of my tutors. I am not the same woman who started the course.
“Completing all the course work and 100 counselling hours fills me with pride and satisfaction, and a determination to help others overcome their obstacles by seeing them as huge opportunities for growth and real learning.”
