Course outline

What is the course about?

Historical background to contemporary thinking; about you and your story using some basic Jungian therapeutic concepts. Myths & Symbols to enhance your ability to understand yourself and others in therapy and in life.

What topics will we cover?

The day will explore some basic Jungian ideas, e.g.: Jungs map of the Soul, what is a symbol?

By the end of this course you should be able to:

Identify if Jungian ideas are interesting for you as either therapist or patient.
Assess if Jungian ideas are helpful for understanding lifes problems.

What level is the course and do I need any particular skills?

Suitable for anyone interested in Jungian therapy, no previous experience needed.

How will I be taught, and will there be any work outside the class?

The day will focus on you as an experiential learner, interacting with fellow students, plus tutor input of basic concepts.

Are there any other costs? Is there anything I need to bring?

None. A notebook may be useful. A reading list will be provided.

Do I need to have an interview before I can enrol?

No.

What feedback will I get?

You will receive regular feedback from your tutor throughout the course, as and when appropriate. At the end of the course you and your tutor are asked to assess the progress you have made. Feelings and thoughts aired throughout the day.

How will I be able to give my views on the course?

Please complete the evaluation form at the end of your course. These are monitored and help us to continually improve our courses. There will be a short review of the course at the end of the day.
