An introduction to the Psychosynthesis approach and how it differs from other models of counselling. You will learn to use some of the Psychosynthesis methods to help deal with everyday life, work, relationships and with clients.
What is Psychosynthesis? The basic principles.
Personality organisation and sub-personalities.
The connection between the personal and Transpersonal selves.
The importance of developing intuition and the will.
Psychosynthesis techniques, including use of symbols, imagery and visualisation.
Describe the Psychosynthesis map of the psyche.
Recognise sub-personalities operating in your life.
Use some Psychosynthesis techniques to help self and others.
The workshop is an introduction to Psychosynthesis for anyone interested in the subject. There will be a mix of theory and experiential exercises, so a willingness to work with your own material is needed.
Some theory, class discussion and practical techniques worked on in pairs and small groups.
Exercises will include inner dialogue, student reflection as well as working with symbols and images.
There are no other costs. Writing and drawing materials will be provided on the day. You might wish to bring your own. Handouts and a reading list will be given.

You will receive regular feedback from your tutor throughout the course, as and when appropriate. At the end of the course you and your tutor are asked to assess the progress you have made. You will feel more informed on this approach to counselling.
