This course will provide a safe setting to review your capacity to live a confident lifestyle, learn skills that will support and help you to plan for a more fulfilling life. It is intended as a follow on course for those who have completed 'Raising Your Self Esteem' and wish to develop their confidence further. It is also suitable as a free-standing course and the tutor will aim to meet the needs of a wide range of learners, across different levels.

No prior training, experience or skills are necessary. The course is particularly suitable for students who have completed the Raising Your Self Esteem course although this is not essential. Since the course is interactive, students are expected to have a good level of comprehension and spoken English to benefit from the course.
The course teaching will be a mix of tutor presentations, student exercises and skills practise in small groups, and group discussion. Students will be encouraged to participate and draw upon their own life skills and experience so it is essential to have good spoken English. The tutor will ask you to keep a learning journal throughout the course and to complete some homework outside class.

The tutor will be using ideas and exercises from: Jeffers S (1998): Feel the Fear..,, and Beyond (London Rider).

You will receive regular feedback from your tutor throughout the course, as and when appropriate. At the end of the course you and your tutor are asked to assess the progress you have made.
