When we enter that special relationship we long for the bliss of eternal union. As time goes on we begin to struggle to maintain that dream, often giving up aspects of ourselves for the sake of harmony. This could be the road to hell!
This course will explore the colourful dynamics of human relationships. In particular when conflict arises it may be avoided or become destructive. However, conflict can also be an opportunity for transformation leading to more honesty and intimacy. This course will establish practical ways of doing that.

Skills practice.
Relationship management.
8 strategies to support effective practice.
Bonding patterns.
Power and vulnerability.
Blame and responsibility.
Describe the dynamics of bonding patterns.
Take steps towards using assertive behaviour.
Gain understanding and confidence to better manage your relationships.
Everyone with an interest in improving their relationships is welcome.
You will need to be willing to participate in discussion and practical exercises.
The course will be interactive and is designed to engage students through skills practice, peer support and discussion. There will be input by the course tutor with handouts, exercises in small groups, and time for assessment of learning as well as group discussion. The atmosphere will be relaxed and supportive and students are encouraged to come willing to share with each other.
