What is the course about?

When we enter that special relationship we long for the bliss of eternal union. As time goes on we begin to struggle to maintain that dream, often giving up aspects of ourselves for the sake of harmony. This could be the road to hell!
This course will explore the colourful dynamics of human relationships. In particular when conflict arises it may be avoided or become destructive. However, conflict can also be an opportunity for transformation leading to more honesty and intimacy. This course will establish practical ways of doing that.

What topics will we cover?

Purpose and challenge of relationships
Different behaviour styles.
Skills practice.
Relationship management.
8 strategies to support effective practice.
Bonding patterns.
Power and vulnerability.
Blame and responsibility.

By the end of this course you should be able to:

Describe the dynamics of bonding patterns.
Take steps towards using assertive behaviour.
Gain understanding and confidence to better manage your relationships.
