Course outline

What is the course about?

Reflecting on our current patterns of behaviour and communicating within the team. How do you relate to other team members? How might you work together better to build a stronger shared vision.

What topics will we cover?

Identify barriers to team performance

Assessing your teams performance

Designing a team vision.

Action planning

Improving they way the team communicates.

By the end of this course you should be able to:

Be aware of how your thinking and behaviour contributes to team dynamics.
Recognise hurdles that might limit team development
Encourage open and honest communication within the team
Devise a strong future vision for the team
Start to put your plan into action.

What level is the course and do I need any particular skills?

For anyone who wants to be a team player and to build teams.

How will I be taught, and will there be any work outside the class?

Whole class teaching, small group activities, practical exercises and discussion topics. You are encouraged to develop these skills after the completion of the course.

Do I need to have an interview before I can enrol?

No.

What feedback will I get?

You will receive regular feedback from your tutor throughout the course, as and when appropriate. At the end of the course you and your tutor are asked to assess the progress you have made.

How will I be able to give my views on the course?

Please complete the evaluation form at the end of your course. These are monitored and help us to continually improve our courses.
