The course will enable you to identify your current uses and misuses of time, and acquire a range of time management practices to increase your effectiveness and efficiency and take control of your time and your life.
Note: This course does not cover Microsoft Outlook or similar electronic systems.

No prior knowledge of the subject is required. Activities and practical exercises involve reading and reflecting on content and discussing and contributing in small and large groups.
This is participatory training which involves discussion, individual self-assessment and practical exercises in pairs, groups and in plenary. The tutor will take a flexible approach to wards content in response to group and individual needs, while still meeting the course objectives.
Please bring a pen and notebook and your diary.
Ensure that you complete the pre-course preparation and bring it with you so that you can participate and gain full benefit from the course activities.

You will receive regular feedback from your tutor throughout the course, as and when appropriate. At the end of the course you and your tutor are asked to assess the progress you have made. You can expect your tutor to give you feedback both individually and through group discussion.
There will also be opportunities to evaluate for yourself how you are progressing in discussion and through questionnaires and self-assessments. You will also receive feedback from participants on the course during practical exercises.
Please complete the evaluation form at the end of your course. These are monitored and help us to continually improve our courses. The tutor will ask you about the value and learning derived from practical exercises and discussion from time to time and will also check on how you feel as the course progresses. You will be asked to complete a course evaluation form at the end of the course.

Any of the Assertiveness courses can help with many interpersonal aspects of Time Mangement, for example 'saying No' or 'asking for help'.
PG628: 'De-clutter your life' is a useful course if this area is of relevance.
