Course outline

What is the course about?

Lead by a qualified Life Coach this workshop is designed to support the participants to achieve more clarity and take action. You will take practical steps towards life-balance and learn some skills and techniques to implement lasting change. The course is about positive change, life balance, wellness and exploring possibilities.

What topics will we cover?

Present situation, future aspirations, exploring areas in which participants might want to bring change or improvement.
Understanding the process of change.
Challenging limiting beliefs.
Improving self-confidence.
Practical steps towards life-balance and wellness.
Exploring concepts such as happiness.
Learning techniques (including some from NLP & Energy Psychology) to implement change, relieve stress etc.

By the end of this course you should be able to:

Describe and demonstrate 3 techniques that will help you to implement positive change in your life.
Outline 3 practical steps which you can take towards what you want to achieve.

What level is the course and do I need any particular skills?

This course is ideal for people who have never attended such a workshop before. You will be expected to take part in paired and group activities.

How will I be taught, and will there be any work outside the class?

There will be:
Group discussion
Written activities
Small group tasks
Teaching input
Paired work.
You are encouraged to use the skills and knowledge in your own life.

Are there any other costs? Is there anything I need to bring?

No materials need to be purchased. Some handouts will be given. Please bring pen, paper and an exercise book / journal would be particularly useful.

Do I need to have an interview before I can enrol?

No.

What feedback will I get?

You will receive regular feedback from your tutor throughout the course, as and when appropriate. At the end of the course you and your tutor are asked to assess the progress you have made. The various tasks, discussions and the goals you might set during this workshop will create an opportunity for change to take place in the coming months.
‘You can expect your tutor to give you feedback both individually and through group discussion. At the end of the course you will be given the opportunity to complete a record of your achievements which will be verified by your tutor.’

How will I be able to give my views on the course?

When I've finished, what course can I do next?

Bringing change in your life might results in a desire to expend your interest in areas you might not have explored before e.g. by developing your creative side, increasing your fitness, acquiring new skills etc. so, many other courses might be of interest, creative courses (e.g. sculpture, writing, music), yoga, languages, computing etc.
