Author of 'The Complete Potter', [The tutor's] broad range of knowledge combined with her excellent tutoring skills makes her one of the best tutor's of ceramics at the City Lit. Wish the course was longer.

First time I had done anything to do with ceramics - we learned all about types of clay, slips and glazes, and techniques for building ceramic work from slap building to throwing, with plenty of time for practical work to try it out. An excellent approachable tutor and a great course - would definitely recommend it and would love to do more ceramic work in the future.

If you've not tried ceramics before but are keen to give it a go, this is the course for you. It covers the basics of a wide range of techniques. The tutor is an expert in her field, very approachable. I really enjoyed the course and was disappointed when it finished! I was quite pleased with the ceramics I produced, and will be signing up for a throwing course at City Lit in future. Highly recommended, excellent value for money.
