Learn how to use Flash to produce exciting and innovative drawn animation sequences. Enjoy developing a new skill and create work that will enhance your professional showreel. No previous experience necessary.
Session 1: Viewing and discussing examples of animation. Introduction to the drawing tools of Flash. Introduction to creating keyframes. Exercise in drawn, frame-by-frame animation using keyframes and 'onion skinning'. Introduction to using layers.
Session 2: Introduction to, and exercises in, shape tweening and motion tweening. Exercises combining tweening and frame-by-frame animation in a multi-layered animation. Viewing work and burning CDs.

This is an introductory course.
You should be able to follow simple written and verbal instructions, demonstrations, hand-outs and health and safety information, and will be invited to take part in group discussion. You should be able to use numbers and be able to do simple measurements and calculations.

Use your animation to enhance your showreel. You will be able to progress to a higher level course in multimedia, animation or the digital moving image.
