This course aims to introduce or further develop skills in drawing such as line, form, tone and composition. Drawing will also be explored as a tool for exploring and visualising ideas. The student will be given exercises and tasks to complete but will also be encouraged to work on their own project related to the set work.
Projects will be set for beginners or advanced student accordingly they will include drawing from observation and developing our ideas using source materials such as sketchbooks and found images. Our visual ideas can be used to create images that may be finished drawings or as preparatory drawings for use with disciplines such as painting or sculpture etc.
• Create drawings as complete art works
• Use drawing as a tool for developing, understanding and visualising ideas
• Select scale, media and techniques in drawing
• Make preparatory drawings for development in another media.
