Fantastic course - took me back to basics and gave me the confidence to take risks/make mistakes and use new media. Teaching was excellent - both 121 and whole group discussion. Loved it and will miss my Monday nights. Great group of people in the class.

A good, comprehensive course. I wanted to improve my drawing overall and thought this would be a good grounding. I was right. We were taught a series of techniques, including proportion, perspective, tone and different basic techniques with pencil, charcoal and ink. We were also encouraged to develop our own approaches, but only when given a good grounding from which to do so.

This is a great course. Excellent engaging teacher, good opportunities for learning about structural approaches to life drawing. Friendly atmosphere and good facilities.

This is a very well organised course that will exceed your expectations. The teacher is always there to help and answers any question you may have. Very relaxing, good sense of humour always present and you feel you have learnt something new every Monday. Having done other life drawing courses, I am very pleased and I will definately follow with another course once this one finishes. Fantastic!

I made more progress than I expected on this course. It helped to have a basic understanding of drawing but the teaching was supportive and encouraging. The teacher found time to advise every student individually as well as explaining the aims of each lesson very well. Consequently I felt I could try new techniques and learn how to correct my mistakes. My only complaint is that the course is not long enough! A bonus at City Lit is always getting to know new people and sharing ideas.
