Learning basic techniques in bead stringing.

Basic level, no prior experience needed.
You should be able to follow simple written and verbal instructions, demonstrations, hand-outs and health and safety information, and will be invited to take part in group discussion. You should be able to use numbers and be able to do simple measurements and calculations.
Please look at the rest of the course outline carefully to decide if you may benefit from support in your English and Maths skills to help you to take part fully in this class.
You will be taught through demonstrations given by the tutor to the whole class as well as on a 1:1 basis when required. Independent practice is also part of the lesson in order for students to practice new techniques to make pieces of jewellery. No outside work required.
Tools and equipment: If you have your own basic beading tools, ( Jewellery wire cutters, flat nose/snipe nose, long nose pliers and round nose pliers bring them along.
Materials: Although basic materials will be provided such as acrylic beads, if you have beads of your own, bring them along.

You will receive regular feedback from your tutor throughout the course, as and when appropriate. At the end of the course you and your tutor are asked to assess the progress you have made.
