I thoroughly enjoyed this short course in mosaics. It really exceeded my expectations and I was surprised by what I achieved by the end of the 6 weeks. Great people and a very knowledgeable and enthusiastic teacher.

the course is flexible so whether project-driven or exploration-minded, at whatever skill level, or however easy / difficult the project, i could take good time to learn unhurriedly and progress to the next stage. discussions over materials, styles, execution demonstrations happen for other students too so i learned more than just what i was doing, 10am to 5pm is good length of session. teacher was patient, knowledgeable and supportive. Brill!

We were given free rein to do what we wanted and helped over our difficulties. As well as seeing each other's work we were given a slide show of mosaics from the past. Very stimulating course

Excellent if you want to learn to do mosaics seriously and work hard, and extend yourself. No good if you want to chat to your friends and basically arse around

My garden is now the proud possessor of a mosaic table top sitting on the old singer sewing machine base and it REALLY LOOKS GOOD! I needed more time to complete my rather large project but managed by changing the design to leave out some fiddly bits. The others were far more skilled than me but I love what I achieved. I would love to do more but am frustrated that 'concessionary' rates don't start until the age of 65. Why, when the state pension age for women is 60?
