Provides an introduction to developing a “Cubist”-type Still-life painting.
Starting with direct representation, you will progress through a series of led exercises towards an abstracted “Cubist”–type format. NB this is an intensive course.
- make painted studies showing stages of development towards a “Cubist” form in paint
-explore tone & structure in paint within a structured intensive time-frame
-change & build on initial work from observation.
Preferably you will have done some painting, eg Painting 1 or Painting Continued courses before; or you will need experience with drawing
You should be able to follow simple written and verbal instructions to support demonstrations, hand-outs and for health and safety information, and will be invited to take part in group discussion.
