Introduction to watercolour skills, paper, paint, colour and the use of tone. We will focus on watercolour painting with reference to the figure - encompassing anatomy and the skeleton - also looking at art historical studies or making a museum visit.

For people who have had little experience of watercolour painting.
You should be able to follow simple written and verbal instructions, demonstrations, hand-outs and health and safety information, and will be invited to take part in group discussion.

There will be a limited amount of watercolour paints provided throughout the course. If you wish to purchase your own paints and brushes, advice and a materials list will be provided during the first session. Paper can also be purchased from the tutor.

You will receive regular feedback from your tutor throughout the course, as and when appropriate. At the end of the course you and your tutor are asked to assess the progress you have made.
