The course will explore the following areas through projects that seek to initiate rather than prescribe:
- composition and tone
- techniques and process
- conceptual development
- codes and language.
- formulate ideas in painting
- understand how painting can be positioned within an art practice
- develop a critical awareness of language in painting
- create a basis for sustaining independent enquiry in painting.
It is recommended that students have completed 'Painting 1' and 'Painting continued' or have gained equivalent experience.
You should be able to follow simple written and verbal instructions,demonstrations, hand-outs and health and safety information, and will be invited to take part in group discussion.
