This course introduces you to simple metal folding techniques to create sculpture.
You will be taught how to cut out simple shapes in metal and will then experiment with folding these into 3D form. A work of a variety of abstract and figurative sculptors will be used as inspiration and you will be encouraged to develop your own ideas.
- be aware of appropriate designs that you can create in folded metal
- create a small piece of sculpture in folded metal
- appreciate the work of sculptors working in folded metal
- be aware of safe working practices.
Beginners and people with experience are equally welcome.
