  1. City Lit basketry course

    Learn a wide variety of basketry techniques: stake and strand, plaiting, twining and coiling in materials such as willow, cane, rush and other, less traditional ones.

    On successful completion of this two-year course, following an exhibition of some of your work, you will receive a City Lit certificate in basketry. Suitable for beginners, though some craft experience is expected. Please note, advertised fees and course dates are subject to change. Payment plans will be available, details of which are to be confirmed.

    Applications for this course will be reviewed on 5th May 2017 and interviews will take place on the 11th and 18th of May, so please keep these dates available. We will continue to accept applications after this date.

  2. The basketry project: investigate, explore, make

    Learn new skills and explore and expand your existing skill set. Using basketry techniques the emphasis will be on developing ideas and practice through personal research, and working on a range of materials. Tutor: Polly Pollock.
