» Find another course in Visual arts» Search all coursesThe course focuses on the techniques and approaches developed during the Renaissance, as well as touching on art history through talks and discussions. We will learn about the drawing techniques and innovations of the three most radical and influential artists of the time, who then became the inspiration for artists for centuries to come. During the two days spent on-site at City Lit, you will take what you have learnt from the museum visits and apply it in your life drawings.
Working both from a life model as well as casts in the museum, we will explore and compare the two different approaches to drawing and look at why this was standard practice in the Renaissance.
