Based on the success of previous years, City Lit, the British Museum and UCL bring you another exciting day of talks, discussions and gallery visits on themes relating to Ancient Greece and Rome. Anyone with a love of the Classics is welcome. No knowledge of Greek or Latin required!

You will explore:
  • Oedipus the King: what makes a tragedy?
  • Latin writings in the British Isles
  • The construction and reception of Socrates
  • Naukratis: Greeks in Egypt
  • Gallery visits with guides from the British Museum.
