This exhibition at City Lit adult education centre is something out of the ordinary. Unlike a typical foundation diploma, you won’t just be viewing work from 18-19 year-olds but from a huge diversity of artists, covering a range of ages and backgrounds.

Some students are professionals and parents looking to return to education and make a career change, others have studied abroad and are highly qualified in areas quite separate to art such as law, science or business. There are also others who come on to the course with no formal qualifications, but a burning desire to be creative in the field of art and design.

You will not only find work in this exhibition by a diversity of students, but also in a diversity of disciplines, modern and traditional alike. Disciplines include painting, sculpture, printmaking, digital art and video, graphic design, ceramics and fashion and textiles.
