Landscape and the city

This outside sketching course uses London’s open spaces to inspire drawings and paintings in a variety of media. Referring to different artists we will explore a range of approaches to interpreting our environment.

Large scale sketchbook

Create a sketchbook that shows individual development and sensitive use of a variety of materials. We start with an external visit and evolve the sketchbook using it as a diary of your thinking. Sketchbooks are provided.

Sketchbook course

Develop a working sketchbook. Generate ideas in the studio and on location, and extend your abilities with mixed media and other methods. Basic knowledge of drawing an advantage but not essential. Basic materials included.
