A cappella singing

Meet the challenge of unaccompanied part singing in a variety of musical styles: classical, classic pop, world traditions. Music reading desirable, good ears, good timing and an established singing voice are essential. You must commit to learning musical arrangements for class and performances.

Advanced singers' workshop (performance): module 1

For experienced singers with a stable vocal technique wishing to develop performance skills for recital and stage. Repertoire will be taken from works based on Shakespeare. Entry by formal audition. Please contact the Music team: 0207 492 2630 for an appointment. If you buy modules 1, 2 and 3 at the same time you can claim £30 reduction off the full fee (ask when you enrol). This course is for classically trained, experienced singers, having had at least five years of one to one singing lessons and is the first module of a year’s course.

Further study in the workshop situation for experienced singers with an established technique and who want to delve into the rich repertoire of song to explore how to express and communicate the music to an audience. If you buy modules 1, 2 and 3 at the same time you can claim £30 reduction off the full fee (ask when you enrol).. This is the first module of a year's course and you will need to be able to learn new songs proposed by your tutor and present them from memory on a regular basis. Please come to a music advice session so that we can be sure that the course is the right level for you.
This course is for classically trained, experienced singers, having had at least 5 years of one-to-one singing lessons. This course takes place at the Crown Court Church of Scotland, Russell Street, Covent Garden, London WC2B 5EZ. Students need to ring the doorbell on the 2nd big wooden church door down the paved alleyway, not the main church door.
