Sobia Butt
Head of Universal Skills
Meet Sobia, a new addition to the City Lit family who joined us in 2024 as the Head of Universal Skills. Bringing a wealth of experience and a fresh perspective, Sobia has quickly become an integral part of our City Lit community. Watch video.
My passion for adult education comes from my experience in the FE sector and its vital role in society. Everyone deserves a second chance, whether to upskill, reskill, or simply learn for enjoyment, and that’s what draws me to City Lit.
Laura Miles
Student Centre & Library Assistant
Meet Laura, who joined City Lit in 2023 as our Student Centre & Library Assistant. With a background in Library and Information Studies from UCL, Laura plays a key role in supporting students, from answering queries to managing library resources. She’s also involved in afterhours clubs, helping to build a vibrant and welcoming student experience. Watch video.
What I love most about City Lit is the people. No two days are the same, there’s always someone new to meet, with different backgrounds, stories, and abilities. It’s just a great place where everyone can connect.
Innocent Granger
Head of Performance Marketing
Meet Innocent, City Lit’s Head of Performance Marketing. With a background in digital marketing and a passion for lifelong learning, Innocent brings creativity and insight to the team. Outside of work, he’s a keen netball player and coach, and explores electronic music through Algorave live coding.
I enjoy my role and being part of a collaborative marketing team. We often work together on projects, with chances to lead or contribute. City Lit values transparency, and it’s great to see how my role supports the college’s success and future.
