The Foundation Diploma offers students a course of creative exploration and discovery. Over four terms you will be taught across a wide range of disciplines including painting, sculpture, printmaking, digital art and video, graphic design, ceramics and fashion and textiles. This course will provide the essential qualifications, skills and knowledge for anyone wanting to apply to art school, university or to enrich their own practice of art and design.
Course tutors, who are all expert practitioners in their specialist area, will concentrate on the development of you as an individual, whatever your background or age. The course runs part-time and is popular with working adults or those returning to education.
The programme gives you the opportunity to experiment, to develop a body of creative work, as well as the experience of developing and mounting a formal exhibition of your work in the annual course show.
