What is the course about?

Work with a variety of art materials and techniques to improve your drawing and painting skills.
Produce a portfolio of exhibition ready painting and drawing
Participate in our annual art exhibition.
Explore apps for ipad and smartphone
Visit contemporary art galleries and museums.

What will we cover?

Art materials and techniques, including acrylic, pencil, pen, pastel, collage and mixed media.
Drawing and painting apps for ipad and smartphone
Sketching visits and tours of museums and galleries.

What will I achieve?
By the end of this course you should be able to...

Produce a portfolio of drawing and paintings
Use the Internet in class to source images for painting and drawing
Make drawings and paintings based on personal research and interests.

What level is the course and do I need any particular skills?

The course is for students with learning disabilities who have a recognised ability in art.

How will I be taught, and will there be any work outside the class?

Group discussion
1-1 tuition
Tutor demonstration of materials and techniques.
