Artist Talks

The City Lit School of Visual Arts regularly hosts established speakers from the world of Visual Arts to speak about a subject passionate to them.

In conversation with . . . is a collection of scheduled talks in collaboration with artists, designer/makers and contemporary creatives. Over the year, each guest speaker will present exciting visual lectures on various themes, points of discussion and debate around contemporary practice, as well as providing an insight in the creative industries.

In conversation with... Multi-disciplinary Artist John Booth

In this talk, John will discuss highlights from his practice, from Fashion Illustrator, Artist to Ceramics. Previous clients include Paul Smith, The Conran Shop, Fendi and Sunspel. John is an Artist, Fashion Illustrator and Ceramicist based in London. John will share details of his recent work and creative processes and some of his collaborations.

In this talk, Jo will be sharing the story behind The Black Artisans and how, she uses her photography to preserve and promote Black Artisans who are successfully forging careers in crafts, the impact it has made on the industry, and how her work has culminated in a new book due to be released in the autumn.
