‘A century old, a century young’

2D and digital centenary art competition

A competition to discover five pieces of creative two dimensional or digital work made by five individuals to celebrate all that makes City Lit a place where ambitions are realised.

Your work will embody the theme of ‘A century old, a century young’ to celebrate our centenary year in 2019. The theme can be interpreted in any way you wish – think abstractly or literally, whichever suits your creative practice.

Work should be no larger than A2 in size, any medium but either two dimensional or digital. If you’d like, you can create a series of pieces which, when mounted, fill an A2 area. 2D work should be submitted unframed.

By 5 May 2019 - submit your artwork >

Enter the competition by completing the Google form before 5 May 2019. Please be sure to enter before this date as we cannot accept entries afterwards. Please  upload a digital image of your entry using the Google form or alternatively deliver your work to the Student Centre before 5 May 2019 for judging.

Conditions

  • Competition open to any student enrolled on a course in the 2018/19 academic year – from September 2018.

  • You must enter the competition and submit artwork by 5 May 2019.

  • You are responsible for costs associated with the design and making of your work.

  • If you choose to deliver your work for judging rather than uploading a digital image via the Google form then you are responsible for the delivery costs associated. Work should be submitted unframed, clean and presentable.

  • Judging will take place after 5 May 2019.
