Students from the City Lit Foundation Diploma in Art and Design are very proud to present their final – and also first – show: Twenty Six.
The Foundation Show is a celebration of the outstanding work of 26 emerging artists and designers practicing across a wide range of disciplines including textiles, print, video, animation, painting, sculpture and more.
During this year of exploration, students extend their art practice and create an impressive body of work, displayed in the end of year show.

Emma Black
Emma works with sculpture and installation to explore themes of embodiment and challenge the external pressures placed on us to look or behave in a certain way.
Elise Riggs
Elise has been exploring the archetype of the Wild Woman aiming to integrate it as a symbol of empowerment and transcendence.




Beatrice Kelly
Beatrice’s work is based on the concept of ‘Mixed messages’ that social media apps such as Twitter and TikTok can create and is based on her love, hate relationship with social media. She is working with screen-print onto weaving.
Cara Outteridge
Cara is experimenting with locally sourced plant based inks to think about reconnecting with nature as a form of healing.




Lisa Farrell
In her video collage Freed from desire, Lisa explores the relationship between 90s nostalgia in contemporary British culture and the cementing of neoliberal politics under New Labour. Her work combines printmaking, animation, sound and post-production to explore cultural history and the corroding effects of late capitalism on collective social consciousness.
