City Lit student Georgie Braggins stars on ITV’s The Voice

Story added 3rd Mar 2017

A former City Lit student is currently making waves appearing on hit ITV talent show The Voice.

Last week Georgie successfully fought her way through the tense Battles stage of the contest, successfully winning the support of mentor and judge Jennifer Hudson over rival contestant Liza Baker.

Georgie has completed numerous courses at City Lit over the years, including level 1, 2 and 3 BSL, and also has a strong personal connection to the college – with her mother Lorraine working within City Lit’s deaf education department. Her smooth progress through the competition so far has even forced her to postpone joining a course at City Lit this term.

Georgie appeared this week on ITV's This Morning, and you can follow Georgie’s continued progress on The Voice UK website this Saturday night on ITV1. You can also see a clip of Georgie’s latest performance from The Voice UK’s YouTube channel (see an embedded video of the performance below).
