I Made This For You by Cristian Solimeno, Directed by Gary Grant

I Made This For You

The City Lit Theatre Company presents an online adaptation of Cristian Solimeno's highly acclaimed film I Made This For You.

Directed by Gary Grant, who starred in the original film and especially adapted for City Lit,  this searingly honest play tackles mental health and depression head on. The taboo of mental health, depression and suicide is handled with sensitivity and tact, and also features moments of affectionate humour to provide an underlying theme of hope and resilience.

Donations to the City Lit Theatre Company Bursary

The City Lit Theatre Company has always been an important part of our Drama programme at City Lit. Creating performance opportunities where our advanced students can work with professional actors and directors such as Gary Grant is vital in progressing their craft. This is especially important now, as there are fewer opportunities for professional development in theatre due to the current climate and theatre closures. The work in Theatre Company is not only beneficial in developing the skillset of our actors, but is also beneficial for their wellbeing. Working through material that explores mental health during this time is especially relevant.

The City Lit Theatre Company Bursary assists in subsidising places for students on future Theatre Company productions.
