— An evening with City Lit Fellow Lord David Puttnam

We are delighted to welcome award-winning British film producer, educator and environmentalist, Lord David Puttnam, to discuss his life and career with City Lit Principal, Mark Malcomson CBE on Thursday 6 October, 18:30-19:30. This discussion will be followed by the presentation of Lord Puttnam’s Fellowship Award, to celebrate his newest achievement of becoming a City Lit Lifetime Fellow. 

About Lord David Puttnam

Best known for his films including The Mission, The Killing Fields, Midnight Express, Bugsy Malone and Memphis Belle, Lord Puttnam has won numerous awards including 10 Oscars, 31 BAFTAs, 13 Golden Globes and the Palme D'Or at Cannes.

As an educator, David has played a pivotal role in ensuring education is accessible, delivering online seminars to engage and inspire students all over the world. On a number of occasions, he has supported the work of City Lit and our students. His achievements and contribution help inspire many learners setting out on their journey in film and media.
