Student 'Making' exhibition at the Knitting and Stitching Show

Story added 21st Feb 2018

Wall based textiles, textile sculpture and basketry by City Lit students

City Lit presents an exhibition of wall based textiles, textile sculpture and basketry pieces at the Spring Knitting and Stitching Show at London Olympia, 1-4 March 2018

The ‘Making’ exhibition will enable visitors to share in the creative adventures of City Lit textile and basketry students.  Exploring, learning, making, developing.

Stitch, print, mixed media, plaiting, coiling and random weave are all employed, and sometimes combined in an interweaving of process. The diversity of the work reflects the dynamic teaching, questioning and making on the courses, and the commitment to providing students with the environment to grow and develop, nourishing individual interests and skills.
