Travelling to your course at City Lit

Story added 10th Apr 2015

Updated on April 30, 2015

We are open as normal, so if you have a course at City Lit starting this week, we look forward to welcoming you.

We are fully open for online, phone and front desk enrolments.

Pedestrian access to Keeley Street from Kingsway is now open again.

See below for our updated travel information for the Holborn area - most travel and pedestrian routes are now open as normal, following the disruption after the fire in Kingsway, Holborn on 1 April.

Travelling by Tube

Tube services to and from Holborn Underground station are unaffected, and the station is open as normal.

Travelling to us by bus

Kingsway is open southbound, and buses in this direction are operating normally.

The northbound carriageway of Kingsway remains closed, and so northbound bus services between Aldwych and Holborn are currently subject to diversion and minor delays. The Transport for London website has details of current bus service alterations.

Getting to City Lit on foot

We’ve prepared some easy to follow local directions so you can get to City Lit on foot, avoiding the disruption.

Getting to your course at City Lit Keeley Street

Pedestrian access to Keeley Street from Kingsway has been restored, so you can now access City Lit again directly from Kingsway.

Pedestrian access to Keeley Street from Aldwych/The Strand

From Aldwych, walk up Kingsway and turn left onto Keeley Street as normal.

Kean Street is now open to pedestrians and traffic as normal:

The best way to get to City Lit Kean Street from Holborn is now via Kingsway and then right onto Keeley Street (past the main City Lit building), then left onto Wild St, then right into Kemble Street, with an immediate left into Kean Street.

Pedestrian access to Kean Street from Aldwych/The Strand

From Aldwych, walk up Drury Lane, and take a right straight onto Kean Street.
