— Discover new ways of learning at City Lit
The world is evolving and so is the way we teach our courses. We understand that some people would rather learn face-to-face on campus, and some would prefer to learn online, so we’ve introduced a number of delivery modes to make your experience at City Lit as convenient as possible.
The different types of delivery we offer include face-to-face, online and a combination of the two. We’ve broken these down below to give you an idea of which mode would be most suitable for your needs.
1. In person
Our in-person courses will be taught from our campus in Covent Garden, London. We have some fantastic facilities including a purpose-built photography studio and wellbeing centre You can find out more by visiting our facilities page.
Some of our courses may also be offsite at our range of partner venues including The British Museum and The BFI.
We’ll tell you which venue and room you’re in before your course starts and you can find more information on our different campus locations here.
2. Online
Our online courses take place via Zoom, allowing you to learn from anywhere in the world. They are delivered live and in small groups, replicating an intimate classroom environment.
We'll send you an email with your Zoom link and passcode three hours before each session. To take part in online classes you will need a reliable internet connection, a computer/laptop/tablet with fully updated browser (preferably Google Chrome). Your device will need a microphone, speakers or headphones, and preferably a camera.

3. Blended (learn online and in-person)
Allowing you to experience the best of both worlds, some of your course will be delivered online and some sessions will be onsite. Your tutor will give you a timetable at your first class, so you know where you are, and when.
4. Hybrid (learn online or in-person)
You can choose whether to attend each session of your course in person or online via Zoom - whichever suits you best. Our Hybrid courses are a great flexible option for busy people and mean you never have to miss out on a session.
