Centenary Launch

Hearing Loss – 100 years of education at City Lit

Houses of Parliament

November marks the centenary of the Armistice, and we will mark the commemoration with an event at the Houses of Parliament hosted by Jim Fitzpatrick MP. Amongst the very first courses we offered at City Lit, were lipreading classes for WWI veterans who had acquired hearing loss serving in the trenches.

City Hall - City Lit Awards and Percussion Orchestra Concert 

Our annual celebration of student and staff achievements in the spectacular ‘London’s Living Room’ at City Hall 

 

5 September 2019

Grand Opening City Lit Gallery and Lobby 

The gallery’s premiere exhibition will include work from our students with learning disabilities.

Blitz Centenary Commemoration and Celebration 

Aldwych 

A special celebration in the former Aldwych Tube Station with music and singing from City Lit students – marking our shared story with Londoners. Intrepid City Lit tutors carried on teaching during the Blitz on London in World War Two – including classes and music recitals in Aldwych Tube Station during air raids.
