Would you like to add some Chi Kung walks to your existing Chi Kung practice? At this workshop you will learn many walks which have a connection to the Five Elements in Chinese philosophy. The walks will help strengthen areas of the body such as lower back and chest and will bring attention to overall balance and grounding.

What is the course about?

.Chi Kung is a practice that coordinates movement and breathing for health and wellbeing. On this course you will have the opportunity to learn a short Chi Kung form that can be practiced daily as well as other traditional Chi Kung exercises originating from traditional Chinese culture.

This is a live online course. You will need:
- Internet connection. The classes work best with Chrome.
- A computer with microphone and camera is best (e.g. a PC/laptop/iMac/MacBook), or a tablet/iPad/ if you don't have a computer.
- Earphones/headphones/speakers.
We will contact you with joining instructions before your course starts.

What will we cover?

You will learn a Chi Kung form of linked movements coordinated with breathing to gently exercise the whole body. We will explore the traditional standing postures of Chi Kung developed to increase the natural flow of energy and learn Chi Kung and Tai Chi walking exercises that can improve balance as well as being a form of moving meditation. We will also learn several Chi Kung standing exercises that can help to maintain or even increase mobility and coordination.

What will I achieve?
By the end of this course you should be able to...

• Perform some warm up exercises
• Demonstrate several Chi Kung standing postures and exercises
• Do at least 1 walking exercise
• Practise the Chi Kung form.

What level is the course and do I need any particular skills?

No experience is needed to attend this course. It is suitable for all levels. No specific skills are required.

How will I be taught, and will there be any work outside the class?

The tutor will demonstrate all moves and you will then practice them along with the tutor. Verbal instructions and explanations will be used.

Are there any other costs? Is there anything I need to bring?

It is advisable to wear loose comfortable clothing and soft flat shoes.

When I've finished, what course can I do next?

You can enrol in further Chi Kung courses or Tai Chi beginners course.
