What is the course about?
Get to know some Chinese characters focusing on the earliest form of character ‘oracle bone script’. We will be showing you some images connected to nature, e.g. the sun, the moon, the river, the tree, the horse, the fish, the house, etc. and invite you to spend some time concentrating on drawing Chinese characters.
We will also talk about 5 elements: metal, wood, water, fire and earth to discuss the balance of life in Chinese ideology.
This is a live online course. You will need:
- Internet connection. The classes work best with Chrome.
- A computer with microphone and camera is best (e.g. a PC/laptop/iMac/MacBook), or a tablet/iPad/smart phone/iPhone if you don't have a computer.
We will contact you with joining instructions before your course starts.
What will we cover?
The workshop will involve learning to sing two “comptines” working on pronunciation and vocabulary.
