City Lit Awards 2018

The City Lit Awards 2018 aim to celebrate inspirational stories from the City Lit community and the transformation learning can bring.

If there’s a student, tutor or staff member who you think deserves recognition, we would love to hear from you.

From outstanding learners, to inspirational tutors and innovative projects, the awards will recognise some of the exceptional work carried out at City Lit during the last two years.

Our special guest last year was singer, Eurovision Song Contest winner and actress, Lulu.

Read the award criteria below, and enter your nomination for the City Lit Awards.

Nominations close on July 20, 2018 at 23:59. The awards will take place in October 2018 (the awards ceremony will by invitation for winners and their guests).

Our 2018 award categories are:

Outstanding Learner of the Year Awards

Do you have a student who has demonstrated an outstanding commitment to their learning at City Lit? Our students achieve great things - we’re seeking nominations for exceptional candidates worthy of an Outstanding Learner award.

Examples could include inspiring others in the class, realising a personal goal, demonstrating a longstanding commitment to learning, showing initiative to set up a business or community scheme, or someone who has used their course to dramatically change their career or circumstances.

This year, we also want to hear from students about their fellow learners who have inspired them - so if you want to recognise one of your peers, why not nominate them for this award?
