Lulu
Internationally renowned artist and music legend, Lulu has made a huge contribution to music in the UK and around the world. As Guest of Honour at the 2017 City Lit Awards, Lulu spoke passionately about City Lit and enthused about our students and their achievements. Students and staff alike were deeply impressed by her warmth and wowed by her rendition of 'Shout' with the City Lit Percussion Orchestra. We are honoured to have Lulu's continuing support.
City Lit Awards 2017
On Thursday 14 September 2017, we hosted The City Lit Awards, celebrating the outstanding work and achievements of various students and staff from across the college, as well as the transformation adult learning can bring. Winners were selected by our judging panel from a long list of over 400 nominations from across the City Lit community.
We were delighted to be joined by music icon Lulu, who presented award winners with their certificates and even performed an impromptu rendition of her smash hit ‘Shout’ with James Heath, one of our award winners.
