City Lit presents: Late Lines

An evening of prose and poetry with City Lit writers

Wednesday 21 November 2018

Join us at the Star of Kings Pub, 7pm-9pm, for Late Lines, our regular night of spoken word featuring City Lit writers and special guests performing a mix of poetry and prose.

November's event will be headlined by spoken word poet Bille Manning!

Billie is a writer and performer from Hackney. Having grown up writing, she eventually graduated from tweenage Harry Potter erotica to poetry and prose that is nothing to do with puns on the word ‘wand’. By day, she is the editorial assistant for London Calling, and by night, she sleeps. She has been a part of Spread the Word's POW! programme, and has performed at various events across London including SLAMinutes at the Arcola Theatre.

If you're a City Lit student, we'd love for you to share your work at our next event. If you're interested, please email writing@citylit.ac.uk to apply. All genres, styles and levels of experience are very welcome.

Please make sure to apply in advance of the event so we can organise the programme in advance. When you apply, we may ask for a sample of the work you'd like to read, to ensure a variety of voices, perspectives and genres are covered throughout the evening.
