Do I need Google Classroom

if I’m doing an in-person course?

Whether you are doing an online or an in-person course, your course will use Google Classroom.

 How is Google Classroom used?

Google Classroom is mainly used to:

  • allow you and your teacher to organise the course content so that you can access lesson summaries, homework, as well as activities and resources for self-study.
  • access key information about your course.
  • reflect on your learning goals and your progress.
  • notify the tutor about your absence.
  • interact with other students.
  • catch up with missed sessions.

What if I’m planning to travel abroad

during my course?

Please note that you require special permission to access Google Classroom from abroad if you normally reside in the UK. If you are planning to attend your online lesson from abroad or check your Google Classroom platform from another country, please contact us on to request permission Submit a request – City Lit

How do I access Google Classroom?

You will receive instructions on how to access Google Classroom when you enrol. If you still need help accessing the platform, you can find instructions here: Steps to follow to access Google Classroom | City Lit

IMPORTANT: please note that you will have access to Google Classroom three days before your course starts. However, your tutor will not expect you to access it before the first lesson, so don't worry about preparing anything as you will still be able to benefit from the class.
