We are offering a range of freestanding professional development modules for teachers of adult learners who have completed the initial teacher training qualification, Award in Education and Training and are now teaching, or for teachers who want to refresh their skills and knowledge.

Functional skills in vocational teaching (blended)

This module will be based on embedding English, Maths and ICT skills within vocational subjects. It will support you in enhancing your practice in supporting learner progress by enabling them to develop their functional skills whilst learning your subject. This module is delivered through the blended mode, which would suit a busy professional tutor. It is practice based and experiential. You will have an opportunity to share your practice and resources with others in your group, after which you will receive a CPD certificate from City Lit.
