This course is about Apple’s Photos programme and how to learn or improve skills in repairing, improve and organise your photographs. This course is an ideal companion to Using Apple Photos to create photobooks, which shows how to create photobooks.

What will we cover?

• How to import your photographs from your camera or iPhone
• How to create collections and folders of your pictures
• How to export images
• How to repair pictures using Adjustment, Filters to improve their colour, contrast and exposure
• How to crop
• How to organise your photographs by theme, subject or style.

What will I achieve?
By the end of this course you should be able to...

• Crop pictures
• Adjust using filters to improve or convert to black and white
• Import, export and use collections and folders.

What level is the course and do I need any particular skills?

This course is aimed at those who have some basic familiarity with their Apple computer and who want to improve their digital photographs.

How will I be taught, and will there be any work outside the class?

Each student has access to a computer or can bring their own laptop to use in practical work.

You will be taught using a range of techniques including workshops, short lectures, demonstrations, practical exercises, tutorials, group and individual.

Notes will be provided.

Are there any other costs? Is there anything I need to bring?

We suggest that learners have online access to some images that they experiment with. Would be good to have access to your Apple ID and you can bring your own iOS device. A pen and paper to take notes.
