Description

What is the course about?

This online acting workshop will allow you to enjoy and experience new aspects of acting each week. Whether an experienced performer or beginner, this course will provide an excellent opportunity to develop your skills in lively interactive sessions.

This is a live online course. You will need:
- Internet connection. The classes work best with Chrome.
- A computer with microphone and camera is best (e.g. a PC/laptop/iMac/MacBook), or a tablet/iPad/smart phone/iPhone if you don't have a computer.
- Earphones/headphones/speakers.
We will contact you with joining instructions before your course starts.

What will we cover?

Group bonding is our starting point with theatre based warm ups and interactive exercises each week.
Performance techniques will include improvisation, creating character and text work.

Please note that acting classes by their very nature can involve exercises and the exploration of material that some students may find challenging.

What will I achieve?
By the end of this course you should be able to...

-Work collaboratively and confidently with others.
-Create character with truth and believability P
-Perform a scene or monologue in a group setting with greater confidence.

What level is the course and do I need any particular skills?

Beginners, improvers and experienced participants are welcome at this class.

How will I be taught, and will there be any work outside the class?

Your tutor will teach though a variety of techniques during this online course. Depending on each different acting exercise, this may include work in pairs, small groups, individually and in whole group.

Are there any other costs? Is there anything I need to bring?

Wear comfortable clothing that you can relax and move freely in. Bring a notebook and pen. When working on scripts and rehearsing you will need a pencil and a rubber for make script annotations.
