we will be able to be heard in theatre spaces of various sizes.

What is the course about?

This three hour voice workshop will explore how intimate speech can be heard in theatre spaces of various sizes
by applying vocal clarity naturally and by using precise articulation exercises.

What will we cover?

The Voice Workshop will involve voice exercises using reduced voice coming on to increased power, the use of intensity in speech, with proper breath support and breathing exercises. Also the application of the Alexander Technique and how it contributes to breath and delivery.

What will I achieve?
By the end of this course you should be able to...

Be heard even when using reduced vocal power.
Demonstrate clarity without over- enunciation.
Have an understanding of how breath will support delivery.

What level is the course and do I need any particular skills?

This course is suitable for all levels.

How will I be taught, and will there be any work outside the class?

Practical exercises; group work and discussion.
